We hereby inform you that ICNET has been assigned a new project for the implementation of an “Internet TV-channel” for the Municipality of Igualada, which is one of the most innovative municipalities, with respect to Information and Communication Technologies, in the Catalan region of Spain. Igualada currently has 36.923 inhabitants who will be the first to have this service at their disposal.
To place this news item in its geographical context, we can inform you that Igualada is the capital of the Anoia District, in the province of Barcelona, and its main economic activity is Industry (textiles, paper, leather). It is also known for housing Spain´s only aerostatic balloon factory (Ultramagic). Thus, Igualada may be characterized as “the City of Textiles, Leather and aerostatic Balloons”.
The solution proposed by ICNET to the Municipality of Igualada involves the integration of the product called “YouLikeTV”, by the software manufacturer LambdaStream, one of our reference partners in the AudioVisual Solutions Area. This project involves the design, development and implementation of the IPTV-channel for the Municipality Administration, which will provide it with a new multimedia channel to complement its current local programming in the existing DTTV-platform.
With this new project ICNET once again shows its commitment to growth and diversification within the Public Sector, at a local as well as a national level.
